Construction Company In Manchester

If 2020 has taught us anything, its that change (although daunting) can be essential to thrive.

Amidst the many events of this year, we have welcomed a few new apprentices to our team – heads up, one of them is typing this right now.

Hiya! I’m Ellen, one of McCrory’s newest apprentices as a Junior Content Producer. Here’s a little about me and what my role entails.

Originally born and raised in the craziness that is Hong Kong – I have always been surrounded by the newest technology. Whether it was social media trends or the newest gadgets, I was embedded (pun intended) into the industry from a young age.

I moved to the UK at 18, on my own, to study Acting at MMU. It’s been 6 years now and yes; I STILL get confused with British slang… bear with me if I ask silly questions – I hadn’t even heard of Girls Aloud until 2nd year!

Anyways, hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot of me. I am going to be bobbing in and out of the offices, sites & any events going on. As a content producer, I’m here to raise the brand awareness of McCrory Holdings. I’m responsible for developing our credibility via our various social media platforms.

I’ll be filming and photographing past and current projects, from the first spade in the ground to the finished product! Our accounts will provide our customers and contractors with an inside eye into our construction and development processes. I hope to also encapsulate our company culture and the team that makes McCrory.

Alongside Ellen is Calvin. Calvin is completing his placement year at Northumbria University with us as a site manager. He’s a familiar face to some as he was with McCrorys in June 2016 as a labourer at North West Prison. He was was then a site supervisor every summer thereafter. He also has experience working with Chris at the Manchester Business School, Manchester New Square and Coronation Street.

Calvin says he is looking forward to seeing the projects progress over the year, whilst learning and improving as a young person in this industry.

And last but not least, on Monday we had the pleasure of welcoming SIX new brickwork apprentices:

Stephen OMalley

Paul Ellis

Jordan Jenks

Alfie Carson

Mason Macdonald

Bradley Jackson

They are starting their 1st year apprenticeship in Bricklaying at Salford College. We wish them the best of luck and a very warm welcome to McCrory Holdings.
