The Manchester Civic Quarter Heat Network (CQHN) will provide an efficient source of heat and power for iconic and well known buildings within Manchester. This will act towards faciliating the council’s goals of becoming carbon-neutral by 2038.
The CQHN is a £20 million energy centre located in the centre of Manchester. The aim is to provide a sustainable heat and power system to several buildings within the city.
McCrory Construction are responsible for the construction of new HV Switch Room, internal blockwork to the energy centre along with general building work associated with the installation of the new Civic Quarter Heat Network around Manchester. This is along with work done on enclosures to accommodate the Nightingale Hospital.
