McCrory Brickwork is proud to announce that we have officially become a Full Member of the Association of Brickwork Contractors (AofBC), the leading trade body representing specialist brickwork contractors across the UK.
The Association brings together some of the country’s largest and most respected masonry contractors, with a shared commitment to promoting high standards across the industry in areas such as health and safety, training, quality assurance and employment. Membership is only available to businesses that meet a strict set of criteria, reflecting both their operational standards and long term commitment to the brickwork sector.
For us, becoming a member is an important milestone.
Since being established in 1997, McCrory Brickwork has grown from a regional contractor into one of the UK’s leading masonry specialists, delivering projects for many of the country’s largest developers, principal contractors and public sector organisations. Throughout that journey, our focus has remained the same: delivering high quality brickwork, investing in our people and helping to raise standards across the industry.
Joining the AofBC is a natural progression of that commitment.
The Association plays a key role in representing the interests of specialist brickwork contractors and ensuring the voice of the sector is heard throughout the construction industry. It also promotes the importance of training and workforce development, something that has always been a major focus for McCrory.
Over the years, we have invested heavily in apprenticeships, training programmes and creating opportunities for people to build long term careers within construction. From apprentice bricklayers progressing into management roles to supporting industry initiatives such as PlanBEE and working closely with colleges and training providers, developing the next generation remains a key part of our business.
Membership will also allow us to work even more closely with other leading contractors across the country, share best practice and contribute to discussions that help shape the future of the masonry industry.
Gerry Ahmed, Head of Operations at McCrory Brickwork, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to become members of the Association of Brickwork Contractors. The AofBC represents some of the very best specialist contractors in the country, so to be recognised alongside those businesses is something we’re incredibly proud of.
For us, this isn’t just about membership of a trade body. It’s a reflection of the standards we’ve worked hard to build over many years and our commitment to quality, safety, training and doing things the right way. As a business, we’ve always believed in investing in people and helping move the industry forward, and becoming part of the Association gives us another platform to do exactly that.
We’re looking forward to working with fellow members, sharing knowledge and continuing to play our part in supporting the future of the brickwork industry.”
As McCrory Brickwork continues to grow, we remain committed to delivering excellence for our clients while investing in the people, skills and standards that will help shape the future of construction.
We would like to thank the Association of Brickwork Contractors for welcoming us as members and look forward to being an active part of the organisation for many years to come.
